 What Is Janana Dosha?

Janana Dosha refers to astrological afflictions present in a person's birth chart (Janma Kundali) that arise due to planetary positions at the time of birth. These doshas may affect health, longevity, mental peace, or spiritual growth. Common causes include:

  • Presence of malefic planets in key houses (especially Lagna, 8th, or 12th)
  • Gandanta dosha (birth at the junction of water and fire signs)
  • Balarishta or Mangalya dosha affecting childhood or marital harmony

These doshas are not permanent curses—they indicate karmic imbalances that can be harmonized through proper rituals.
